The Bride Quartet by Nora Roberts

The Bride Quartet series was the first I read by Nora. My friend told me to read the Chesapeake Bay series but I am a huge wedding fan and love everything about them and felt I was drawn to these books.
There are four in the "Quartet" and they follow four women who are business partners and friends.
I fell in love with these books and to date they are still my favourite, i dont know if its because they were the first but i still love reading them inbetween reading other books.
The four women Mackenzie, Emmaline, Laurel and Parker are best friends and have been since they were in school. Now in their twenties and running a sucessful wedding business. As children they used to play wedding day and now as adults they are still playing wedding day but getting paid to do it.
Mackenzie is the photographer, Emmaline is the florist, Lauren is the baker and Parker is the planner/manager/organiser.
The four books follows thier lives and loves introducing some interesting scenes that will make you laugh and cry.
The story is very touching and touches on personal issues such as money and social class, friendship and what that means but most importantly true and passionate love.

These four books took me into the world of these four women and when i was reading the book i was the leading female, i felt what they felt, i cried when they cried and i believe that if a book can take me away and do that then its worth reading.
Nora captures the important issues in the book and takes ou into their world right from the beginning and you become lost in the story. As the books all lead on from each other when you put one down you want to go onto the next straight away and if you are lucky like me and have a kindle or ebook reader and you can download the books straight away!
The four books are titled as

Vision in White
Bed of Roses
Savour the Moment
Happy Ever After

So i will now going on to write about the books individually. If you havnt read the books yet and do not want the story spoilt then please dont read ahead!

Vision in White by Nora Roberts

Mackensie 'Mac' Elliot is a beautiful red head who is passioante about weddings and one part in particular the photos.
She is a wedding photographer and works in a Business called Vows with her three best friends and runs her studio on the Brown estate where she remembered growing up all those years ago.
Brown Estate belongs to her best friend and her brother Parker and Delaney and they had transformed the huge estate into the venue for wedding and events and Mac lived on the estate with her studio.
She loved being there and didnt think it could get any better.
Mac had a difficult childhood and her mother Linda was not really much of a mother. She loved her father very much but after the divorce he went off and got another family. He sent presents for birthdays and christmas though.
He gave her a camera which for her age was not appropriate and it was too heavy for her to hold bit she perservered particularily after she heard her mother slagging off her fathers gift and in one defining moment that runs a theme throughout the stories she had a blue butterfly moment.

A blue butterfly landed on the boquet when they were playing wedding day and she captured it on the camera and from that moment on she knew what her calling was.

Mac has an issue with commitment and settling down but she meets her biggest challenge yet.
Carter is an English Professor who has recently moved back to the town. His sister is using Vows wedding planning services to plan her own wedding and him having to accompany her to a meeting on the estate has him bumping into Mac (and a door frame!).
He had always loved her and never had the courage to talk to her when they were in school.

The story goes on to explore Mac and Carters relationship, hitting some major obstacles (on Macs side) and some amazingly romantic and emotional scenes. The sex scenes are so well written and do not leave much to the imagination but the way Nora writes them you almost feel what they feel! Believe me its hot and steamy!!

This book started my crazyness into reading Noras books and i am now obsessed which my husband thinks is nuts but i cannot get enough!
I read each of these books one after the other and completed the series in a couple of weeks.
This book is funny and sad all at the same time and it lets ou believe happy endings are there but sometimes you need to stop looking for them.

Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts

This story which i have to say is my favourite in this series is about Emmaline Grant a very beautiful woman who has every man around her falling at her feet. She has an amazing family steeped in romance and love, friends she cares so much about and a job she absolutel 100% loves.
Emma is the florist in the Vows business and she has an unbelievable talent in being able to know what the bride really needs from her flowers.
She is a stunning woman and with her wild curly black hair and her big doe eyes and full lips any man would be a fool not to fall in love with her.
Emma wants love and romance and all the gooey stuff in between and wont settle for any less!

In cames Jack, Delaney Browns best friend and has been in the 'family' for years. He went to college with Del and Carter and has know the girls forever. He thinks of them as his sister and feels obligated to look out for them.
The only thing is he cant do that with Emma because for quite some time he has had feelings for her and has never acted on it because of what the others might say and Emma may not return the feelings.
He is a sucessful architect and has his own business, he is strong and very handsome. Women fall at his feet and he is often quite happy to pick them up! He has issues with commitment like Mac but his loving parents split up when he was young it has had a huge impact on him.

Emma has been having lusty feelings for Jack for some time now but doesnt think she can tell him. Little does the other know what they really feel for each other.
A chance meeting at a party leaves both of them thinking and feeling things about the other.

One night Jack comes to an event and decides what the hell and kisses Emma and then the madness ensues!!
Lots of sexy meetings and exciting times but when it comes down to love will Jack admit his feelings for Emma??

This book is by far my favourite out of the three and i am so in love with Jack which i think is the direction Nora was going. I wanted to be Emma and feel what she felt and do the things she was doing.
Again this book draws you into the life of the main character and has you feelinga and seeing what they do.
As with the first a happy ending is what we want and get and it flows wonderfully into the third book.

Savour the Moment by Nora Roberts

Lauren is a sucessfull baker and has trained all over the world, living in Paris for a while. When the Brown's died suddenly in a plane crash leaving her best friend Parker and her brother Delany with the estate to deal with she came home to be with them.
The business started and she stayed.
She loved her work and like her friends she was excellent at it.
Lauren was a beautiful blonde woman with wonderful legs, she was also a little firery and told you exactly how it was.
She was also completely and utterly in love with Delany Brown for as long as she can remember. She couldnt and wouldnt do anthing about it because he didint feel that way about her. Sure he loved her but like a sister.
She hated that.
One night she was feeling particularly prickily after numerous issues and she bit back at Del, leading to a whopper of a kiss.

Delany Brown is a conneticuit Brown and very sucessful lawyer. He was gorgeous and loved his life and his sisters which her affectionately referred to as 'The Quartet'.
He had never expected Lauren to act the way she did, he had known her for years but when she kissed him something stirred.

Lauren and Del's romance is funny and exciting, this one being a little ore emotional than the others i think and having a major aspect of class and money involved.
lauren comes from a poorer family and had a father who was unfaithful while Del has two wonderfully loving parents and a heck of a lot of money.
They came from two very different worlds yet somehow they were all part of the same family.
The book deals with the issue of class and how it can be percieved by some and how love overcomes everything that money and class throws in the way.

Savour the moment is a lovely book and Nora writes it very well, again the romance and sex is graphic and wonderful to read. The way she articulates the scenes are done so well so thqt it is not too saucy but saucy enough to keep the paegs flipping!!

Overall it is a great third book to the series and tells the ongoing story so well.

Happy Ever After by Nora Roberts

Happy Ever After is the final book in the series and it brings all of the books together and gives a finality to it.
Parker Brown is a very sucessful business woman, she runs the day to day issues of Vows and deals with the Brides every question and worry. She loves her job despite the 5am wake up calls from crazy brides!!
She is a polished woman who has her life so well organised she has no time for anything else.

Malcolm is a rough around the edges mechanic who owns his own business and has bumped lips with Parker a couple of times despite her obvious annoyance. He finds her interesting and wants to ruffel those very organised and tidy feathers.
She is not so keen to be ruffeled however Mal is appealing and sexy and very very handsome. Her total opposite but maybe perfect for her.

This book is my least favourite out of the three but i still completly loved it, Nora gives a closing to the story of the four women and it ends with the wedding of Mac and Carter. Its a perfect ending and one a lot of fans would be happy to see.
The four women all paired off with their perfect men and planning their own magical wedding days.

The Bride Quartet offers many laughs and cries and i enjoyed reading them so much. I imediately went online and bought another set of books to read as i couldnt get enough!
These books offer some interesting characters that are regulars throughout all of the books, even though it focuses on one woman each time the other three are always there, the men Carter, Jack, Del and Mal are although important in each of their own books they are really about the women and their journeys and a family.
Mrs G is a great character who pulls them all together and is almost like their mother giving the advice and support. In her own way she has helped each of the women and the men.
There is a great amount of comedy and fun in the books that can have you laughing out loud, the things that the four women say to each other can only come from true friends/sisters.

They are four touching stories and will leave you wanting more......
